Insurance – £30 annually
Annual insurance is required for all students and covers you for all Combat Ju-Jutsu training activities. This fee is set by our governing body and provides peace of mind for both students and instructors.
Private Classes
Private, small-group, or one-to-one sessions are available by arrangement. Female-only sessions can also be accommodated on request. Contact us for details
Corporate Events
We deliver team-building and motivational sessions focused on awareness, confidence, and practical self-defence skills. Suitable for businesses, organisations, and groups.

Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. Memberships can be cancelled with 30 days' notice. We prefer to earn commitment through the quality of our training, not paperwork.
What does the £30 annual insurance cover?
Insurance covers all Combat Ju-Jutsu training activities, including classes, open mat sessions, and gradings. It is a requirement of our governing body and is in place for your protection.
Do I need any martial arts experience to start?
No experience is required. Many students begin with no background in martial arts. Classes are structured so beginners can learn safely alongside more experienced students.
What if I miss a class?
Missed classes do not roll over. However, all members are welcome to attend open mat sessions for additional practice. Gold members can attend both weekly classes for added flexibility.
Is there a joining fee?
No. There are no joining fees. You only pay your monthly membership and the annual insurance fee. Your first three classes are free so you can try training before committing.
Can I upgrade from Silver to Gold?
Yes. You can upgrade your membership at any time. Just let us know and your next payment will be adjusted accordingly.
Do you offer family discounts?
Yes. Family rates are available for households with multiple members training. Please contact us to discuss your circumstances.
Is Combat Ju-Jutsu safe?
Yes. Safety is taken seriously. Training is controlled, progressive, and adapted to individual ability. Techniques are pressure-tested, but always within a supervised and respectful environment.
How intense are the classes?
Intensity is progressive and appropriate to the individual. Beginners start at a manageable pace, with pressure and complexity increasing as skills develop. There is no expectation to train beyond your comfort level.
What age do you accept students from?
Classes are open to adults aged 16 and over. If you have questions about suitability, please get in touch before booking a trial.
Can I train if I have an injury or medical condition?
Often, yes. Training can usually be adapted around injuries or medical considerations. Please let the instructor know before class so appropriate adjustments can be made.
Is Combat Ju-Jutsu suitable alongside other martial arts?
Yes. Many students cross-train. Combat Ju-Jutsu complements other martial arts by focusing on practical self-defence and decision-making under pressure.
